Original Items: Only One Set Available. This is a great unissued pair of hard to find Australian "Pattern 10085" Leather service boots, complete with rare brass "Jungle Cleats." These were designed for use in the Pacific theatre, where many of the areas occupied by Japan had tropical climates, and a firm foothold was very important. These boots are really in great shape, and even have some post war "shoe trees" inside to help maintain the shape and form of the leather.
The inner sides of both boots have matching markings and dates:
V 589
654
1944
There are also proof markings on the bottoms of both soles, however there are not any size markings on the boots. They look to measures internally about 27cm, which would be a about a U.S. size 10. They each have 6 pairs of painted alloy eyelets, with leather laces for tightening.
Overall condition is excellent, with only wear from storage and age. This has caused some of the leather to darken, and the laces are now somewhat stiff due to drying out. Otherwise, they are as close to mint as we have ever seen.
